The ministry of devolution and planning that was spearheading efforts to resolve the standoff over house and hardship allowances for civil servants will constitute a committee to look in to the matter. Cabinet secretary for devolution Ann Waiguru said the government recognizes that the issues raised were valid and wants them addressed. The committee is expected to finalize their proposals within the next three weeks. The union of Kenya civil servants secretary general tom Odege reminded civil servants that Monday is not a public holiday.
