One of the country's most wanted fugitives Mpho David Nkosi has appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrate's court on Monday.

It is believed Nkosi has been on the run since the murder of Johannesburg forensic auditor, Laurence Moepi. Nkosi, who is also known as ‘thirteen’, was arrested in KwaZulu-Natal at the weekend.

The 39-year-old was wanted in connection with the killing of Moepi. Moepi was gunned down in October last year outside his Houghton workplace.

Earlier this year, the SAPS offered a R100 000 reward for information leading to Nkosi's arrest.

Nkosi was found hiding in a Rondavel. His alleged accomplice, Remember Siporo was earlier charged with murder. He has been denied bail.

Siporo will appear in court again in November.

Nkosi will be back in court on the 16th of this month. It is expected that he will be formally charged then. For now he will remain at the Germiston police station.
