Otedola – ‘I did not insult Reps’

Zenom Petroleum Ltd Chairman, Mr. femi Otedola has denied insulting members of the house of Representatives Committee on Ethics and Privileges back on Tuesday.

A statement by his lawyer, Mr Babajike Koku, made on Wednesday denied the allegations and equally denied reports that he refused to appear before the committee for testimony.

The statement by Otedola’s lawyer read, “Mr. Femi Otedola, CON at the meeting conducted himself with decorum, he was not abusive and at no time in the course of the hearing made any disparaging remarks against any member of the committee.”

The lawyer further stated that the Hon. Gambo, the committee chairman’s statement was least unbecoming and mere bias.

He continued adding that Mr. Otedola had not refused to testify before the committee. He asked that mr otedola’s testimony should be taken publicly.

All the allegations made against Mr Otedola he said were misrepresentations of his comments at the meeting and thus called for a public hearing of the same.
