South Africa's Environmental Affairs Ministry recently announced that it would soon translocate an undisclosed number of rhinos from the eastern region of the Kruger National Park to more low-risk poaching areas, in order to improve their chance of survival. But, South African National Parks which is tasked with conserving the rhino, says they've missed the window to move the rhinos this year and will probably now only relocate them between March and October next year - the period recommended by wildlife scientists.
